What to Expect

1) I never charge for our first session.

Because coaching is a relationship, it’s not “one size fits all”. I want to make sure that we click and that my style of coaching will fit your needs. I use this session to get a clear idea of who you are, where you are at and where you’d like to be. I encourage you to take this time to ask me any questions you may have. I want you to feel comfortable and confident as my client.

 2) I do all my coaching sessions over the phone.

I chose my coach (yes, I get coached too!) partly because she offered in-person sessions, but do you know what? I only ever met with her in person twice! Phone coaching is just better because:

a) Phone sessions are more comfortable. You are in your own space and no one is watching you so you can get crystal clear and go deeper than you might in-person.

b) Phone sessions are quicker, easier, and cheaper to attend. There is no extra time or energy expended travelling to and from sessions. There is no need to arrange parking, childcare or even personal grooming. You can show up in your PJs if you want to!

c) We both get to focus 100% on issue at hand rather than attending to elements in the environment.

That being said, I’m more than happy to meet with you in-person before our first session so you can get a sense of who I am and what I’m like. I completely respect and encourage the idea of clapping eyes on me and getting a read of me before signing up to get coached.

3) Most sessions are 45 minute in length.

For the first three months, at the least, I like to meet once a week for 45 minutes. Every once in a while a session will run over by 5-10 minutes. If we are right in the meat and potatoes of an issue I never call time’s up just because we’ve hit the 45 minute mark. I want to make sure I never leave you hanging.

4) Homework.

I love to assign homework that is designed to bring what you and I discuss into your real world. Each week we will discuss what comes out of the thought work and exercises you complete. The more you put into doing this work, the faster you’ll get to where you want to be.

5) You won’t need me forever.

The beauty of my coaching style is that you will learn to coach yourself. If I can do this, you can do this. Once you get the hang of self-coaching, you may choose to transition into a maintenance coaching package. This is a monthly package of one 45 minute session and one 15 minute session a month in addition to email coaching as needed. This helps you check in and make small course corrections on the path to your right life.
